THOUSAND THOUGHTS ALBUM LAUNCHING AUGUST 30 2012

SONY MUSIC ENTERTAINMENT has officially signed Bohemia the rap star and is set to launch his much anticipated album ThousandThoughts digitally AUGUST 30 in stores.

"Bohemia is currently the most sought out artiste within the Indian music industry, and we are happy to have him onboard," says Pawanesh Pajnu, GM, Sony Music Entertainment India.

     Sony Music will present the Punjabi/Hindi rap scene with classics of Bohemia. As a patronage of Sony Music, Bohemia intends for many of his fans to cultivate with detonating beats and thought provoking lyrics to keep inspiring the Hip Hop music connoisseurs across the globe.

  

Bohemia is the first artiste in history to launch a full Punjabi rap album with a major label. He is recognised world-wide as the creator of Punjabi rap with hits like 'Kali Denali' and 'Sahara' and 'Ek Tera Pyar'. He has rendered his voice in Bollywood when personally approached by superstar Akshay Kumar for film Chandni Chowk to China. Bohemia has since rapped and produced music for films like 8x10 Tasveer, Speedy Singhs, and most recently for Sanjay Dutt's cameo in DesiBoyz.

     More recently, Bohemia was invited to the legendary Coke Studio MTV's new season on air now. The first episode of him improvising a live rendition of 'Paisay danasha' ('Addicted to money') saw 400,000 views in just a week. The song is about the addiction for money that overshadows our society.

     Bohemia is clearly excited about this collaboration with Sony Music Entertainment, the number one Punjabi music label in India for over three years.

"i have offers from many great companies but I am very thrilled about my association with Sony Music. Their expertise will definitely help me," he said.

"my fans will witness a Generation X type of music. They are in for a surprise."

     The album Thousands Thoughts has been written and produced by Bohemia.

The album features guest appearances by American platinum selling stars like Baby Bash (known for hit 'Cyclone' ft. T-Pain and Akon) and Jacka of the Mod figgaz from California. Thousand Thoughts also maintains its roots to Punjab by appearances by hit Bhangra producers Tigerstyle(UK) and the multi-award-winning Taz Stereo Nation. The first video titled 'Hazaar Gallan' ('Thousand Thoughts') will hit all major Indian TV channels mid-June, according to a marketing representative at Sony Music Entertainment. It will be followed by three more music videos.

 Sony Music Entertainment head quartered  in New York, is a leading global music company and home to legendary artists like late Michael Jackson, Beyonce, Britney Spears, Kings of Leon, Foo Fighters to name a few. This is the time in history that the company will be embarking on a full-scale launch of an International rap artist.

 

BOHEMIA DISCOGRAPHY

Bohemia has released three albums worldwide. His last two albums Pesa Nasha Pyar (Money Addiction Love) 2006 and Da Rap Star 2009 (Nominated for four int'l music awards) were released by Universal Music India. His first album Vich Pardesan De 2004 (In the foreign lands), which went viral and hit the BBC Top Ten Chart in the UK, has never been officially released.
